# Mantle

Mantle is a high-performance Layer 2 network designed to make Ethereum hyper-scalable using a modular approach while ensuring high security and low fees. To achieve this goal, a separate decentralized data availability layer will be used in tandem with Ethereum roll-ups.

The project was created by the BitDAO community, a decentralized autonomous organization with the highest level of physical assets in its field. According to the plan, Mantle will serve as a link for various BitDAO initiatives, such as Game7 projects, research by EduDAO, and a dApps ecosystem supported by BitDAO.
